Matthew is in the process of building his Wentworth 33 at Marsden Park where he will live with his wife, two children and mother.
“Our choice to build was an easy one; with the prices of established properties being around the same price or higher, but with the bonus of saving on stamp duty with a new build, it was clear that building was our first choice. We decided to go with Clarendon mainly because of their reputation and all the houses they have on display seemed to finished with more care than competitors.
We’ve never built before, and the process is really exciting. The house will cater to myself, my wife, our two children and my mother, so we went with the spacious Wentworth 33 with Oxford facade at Elara, Marsden Park. We chose to build there because the area is self-contained with its own shopping centre and schools, we felt like the area would an ideal setting to raise our family.
We’re currently living in a rental at Ropes Crossing, and I think my wife now is most excited about moving into a master bedroom with walk-in-robe converted from another bedroom. We’ll be moving in March 2019, so not long now!
Clarendon have been excellent, we have not had a single issue with them at any point. The customer service consultants have been responsive and the building supervisor has been the same so far. My piece of advice for anyone looking to take on a new build would be to have reasonable expectations about time and be patient, be as informed as possible and don't base your choices on price alone!”
