At Clarendon Homes, we’re proud to have a passionate and dedicated team that works to bring every customer’s dream home to life. Kicking off our new Employee Spotlight series is Steve Stasiuk, NSW Building Manager. As NSW Building Manager since 2022, Steve oversees both the construction and warranty departments for Clarendon Homes. His work is pivotal in ensuring the smooth delivery of every home we build, as well as maintaining our reputation for quality long after the keys are handed over. “A typical day for me usually involves meetings with other departments, suppliers, and trades to discuss construction matters,” Steve explains. “I also monitor key construction KPIs and stay in regular contact with our site teams, trades, and suppliers to provide support and resolve any issues. It’s a dynamic role that keeps Steve engaged and connected to every part of the build process. What does he like most about the job? “Being part of someone’s home-building journey — watching their dream home come to life — is incredibly rewarding,” he says. “It’s one of the things I enjoy most about what I do.”
Steve’s passion for building began early, thanks to a strong family influence. “My dad was a talented carpenter and builder. He spent a lot of time teaching me the trade and helped shape my eye for detail,” he says. “His passion for the industry really inspired me to follow in his footsteps.” That early mentorship laid the foundation for a fulfilling career. After finishing high school, Steve began as an apprentice carpenter in 1995, working in the trade and gaining early experience sub-contracting to various residential home building companies. After nine years, he stepped up to work as Site Manager for one of those builders. In 2013, he joined Clarendon Homes as a Site Manager, quickly becoming a valuable member of the Clarendon family. Just three years later, he was promoted to Construction Area Manager, and in 2022, he stepped into his current role as NSW Building Manager.
Steve believes there are few key ingredients that make a Clarendon Homes build stand out in the market. First, there’s the wide range of designs on offer, with regular additions that tap into the best of modern design, trends and materials. Then there are the premium standard inclusions in Clarendon homes. And of course, says our Building Manager, “it’s our commitment to excellent build quality that really makes us stand out.”
For Steve, it’s the relationships that he and his team build with customers that makes work at Clarendon truly rewarding. And it’s the relationships that make every project special. “About 10 years ago,” he explains, “I built two homes for neighbours in Elizabeth Hills. Both families had young children and were very excited about building their homes. “They were regularly on-site, and I got to know them well. We keep in touch today, which is something I really value. That sense of connection and trust makes the job so much more meaningful.”
Away from work, Steve enjoys quality downtime with his family. He also likes to stay active, playing golf and keeping fit at the gym – a must for a busy, hands-on role that takes him to a multitude of locations. Whether he's solving on-site challenges, negotiating with suppliers or meeting excited customers, Steve is committed to bringing excellence to every part of this work. This commitment, building on his deep industry experience, make him a respected leader and member of the Clarendon Homes family.
