Hayman 35 Menangle Park

Palm Springs escape: The Hayman 35, Menangle Park

Vibrant Palm Springs style meets modern Australian living at the Hayman 35, our stunning new display home in Menangle Park. This sun-loving retreat in Sydney’s south-west will inspire all those who love great design and easy entertaining. And because it’s a Clarendon home, our clever and flexible floorplan keeps family needs at the heart of the matter. Think of it as taking your family on a holiday at home! The Saville façade of our two-storey Hayman 35 display home is light and bright, the use of cladding, render and feature tiles channelling the fresh hues and lines of mid-century Palm Springs style. Brass exterior lighting fixtures set the scene for the interior finishes and fittings, casting a soft glow that enhances the home’s welcoming feel. From the moment you step inside, the 4-5 bedroom, 344sqm Hayman 35 welcomes you with space, style and a sense of occasion. The entry sets the tone with a step down to the central hall, creating soaring ceilings that create immediate drama and a sense of openness and volume.

A guest bedroom or study offers comfort and privacy at the front of the house, with an adjacent powder room that we’ve converted to a double-entry ensuite. Next is a living room with home theatre upgrade option, separated from the rear family zone by the stairwell. Here the layout unfolds beautifully into a light-filled open-plan kitchen, dining and living space that flows seamlessly to the Grand Alfresco. Perfect for entertaining or just relaxing with family, this chic covered outdoor space will inspire the best of indoor-outdoor living.

The kitchen with butler’s pantry and generous walk-in pantry leads through the laundry to the garage, one of many family-friendly features. Upstairs, the spacious master bedroom suite with large walk-in robe and ensuite is positioned for privacy at the front of the home, while three bedrooms are situated across the hallway with a family bathroom and all-important separate WC. An open leisure zone completes the upper floorplan, providing an extra living area, TV room, study or playroom.

Palm Springs-Inspired style

Fresh, fun, vibrant and stylish – those are the hallmarks of iconic Palm Springs design, a beloved postwar aesthetic that’s gained the status of a timeless classic. In our display home, the stunning interior design by Coco Republic features the curves and organic shapes of a retro Palm Springs hotel, along with retro materials such as breeze blocks, natural stone, light timbers and fabrics such as boucle.

Feature tiling channels mid-century crazy paving, adding movement to the clean lines, while full-height VJ panelling brings texture and warmth to the walls, and detailed balustrades with curves add softness. Pops of bright colour add character to a palette that’s both luxurious and relaxed: think cream, white and stone, with accents of tan, terracotta, ochre and sage.

Enter the living area through a striking arch niche, a subtle yet stylish nod to chic Palm Springs style. Joinery in "Coastal Oak" lends a soft, beachy vibe to the kitchen and bathrooms, perfectly complementing the brass hardware and lighting that add warmth and character throughout the home.

Get the look – our expert tips

Want to recreate the Hayman 35’s Palm Springs style in your own Clarendon build? Our design team shares a few expert tips:

  • Keep timber elements consistent in colour to maintain a cohesive look.
  • Use a light or pastel colour palette throughout, with pops of bright colour via statement furniture pieces – perhaps a bold armchair or vibrant cushions.
  • Don’t shy away from feature tiles – a light, patterned tile can add personality and interest without overwhelming the space.

The Hayman 35 and Stamford 37 by Clarendon are open daily 10am-5pm at the Menangle Park Display Centre, 18 Subzero Crescent, Menangle, NSW 2568.
