Impact on construction 11 October 2021

While the response to COVID-19 is constantly evolving, we were reassured by the decision made by the NSW Government to lift the vaccination requirements for authorised workers and restrictions on travel to unoccupied building sites across Greater Sydney,

From Monday 11 October all construction sites will need to comply with the following COVID-19 rules:

  • Face masks must be worn indoors at all times unless an exemption applies.
  • 1 person per 4 square metres applies to all indoor premises.
  • 1 person per 2 square metres applies to all outdoor premises.
  • QR Codes continue to be required at unoccupied construction sites.
  • COVIDSafe plans continue to be required on unoccupied construction sites in Greater Sydney.
  • All other COVID safe measures being adopted including physical distancing and all other COVID health and hygiene requirements.

What restrictions apply to residential building work in the lockdown regional NSW areas?

The following arrangements apply to residential building work within regional NSW areas subject to ‘stay at home’ restrictions:

  • All building activity can continue subject to ensuring all sites adopt COVID safety measures.
  • A limit of two workers are permitted to undertake indoor work at occupied homes in regional NSW. Workers must remain separated from all residents when on-site. There is no limit on the number of workers that can undertake outdoor work at an occupied home site across NSW.

We are committed to keeping you informed on what this means in terms of building your home, in response to the current NSW Health advice, whether you are in pre-construction or the construction stage of your home build journey. Please contact your Customer Service Consultants if you have any questions.

Trust and Certainty 20 July 2021

We appreciate that this is a very difficult time and we trust that your family, friends and loved ones are healthy and not impacted by COVID-19.

In one of the most uncertain times in Australia's history, we find that 'home' is more important than ever. The only thing potentially more important, the trust you put in the company who will build yours during this time. For over 43 years, the Clarendon Group has earned that trust in both good financial times and the not so good, building over 30,000 homes for Australian families.

Peter Campbell. the sole owner of Clarendon Homes has built one of the most well-managed financially secure home building companies in Australia from the ground up. He has led the company through recessions, global financial crises and the ever-changing property market. Peter Campbell knows the business of 'home' and in an uncertain time there is one thing that is certain, Clarendon is here now and will  be here long into the future.

Working from Home 20 July 2021

We're business as usual! Our team is made up of working parents and families (just like yourself) and we are now all working from home. Our focus is on minimal disruption to our customers. One change you may see is that our phone numbers will have ‘no caller ID’. If we miss your call, please leave a voicemail. We will return it as soon as we can. In the background of calls, you may even hear a little voice or a little puppy and with that, we appreciate your support.

Some delays are expected 20 July 2021

We will make every effort within our control to minimise disruption as we work towards the commencement of construction for your home, however we anticipate there may be some delays particularly with the following:

  • Tender and Contract signing appointments may be delayed due to the limitations in accessing your land for site assessment and surveying
  • Preparations during the building approval process may experience some delays
  • Commencement of construction may be delayed as we work through rescheduling all contractors, trades and suppliers.
