The “Choose Your Style” promotion (Promotion) is being conducted by Clarendon Homes (QLD) Pty Ltd ABN 37 078 853 022 QBCC 80444 (Clarendon Homes) subject to the terms and conditions set out in this document (Terms and Conditions).

Promotion Period and availability

1. Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the Promotion commences at 10:00am on Monday 3rd July 2023 and continues until such time as the Promotion is terminated, cancelled or suspended by Clarendon Homes in its absolute discretion. (Promotion Period).

2. The Promotion is only available:

a. during the Promotion Period;
b. in respect of new preliminary agreements entered into, with initial deposits paid:

  • between Clarendon Homes and retail consumers;
  • from 10:00am Monday, 3rd July 2023
  • for Luxe range homes
 
Definitions

3. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:

  • “Luxe range”, in respect of homes, means those homes which are the subject of Clarendon Homes’ “Luxe range”. More information on the Luxe range of homes including drawings may be obtained at a Clarendon Homes display centre.
  • “Domaine range”, in respect of homes, means those homes which are the subject of Clarendon Homes’ “Domaine range”. More information on the Domaine range of homes including drawings may be obtained at a Clarendon Homes display centre.
  • “Luxe specification”, in respect of homes, means those homes which are the subject of Clarendon Homes’ “Luxe inclusions”. A copy of the full Luxe specification may be obtained at a Clarendon Homes display centre.
  • “Inclusions” means each of the inclusions specified in paragraph 15
  • “Single Storey Homes”, in respect of a home, means those home designs specified as “Single Storey Homes” in Clarendon Homes’ “Luxe range”, more information of which may be obtained from a Clarendon Homes display centre.
  • “Acreage Homes”, in respect of a home, means those home designs specified as “Acreage Homes” in Clarendon Homes’ “Luxe range”, more information of which may be obtained from a Clarendon Homes display centre.
  • “Double Storey Homes”, in respect of a home, means those home designs specified as “Double Storey Homes” in Clarendon Homes’ “Luxe range”, more information of which may be obtained from a Clarendon Homes display centre.

Conditions of Promotion

4. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clarendon Homes reserves the right to vary, suspend, cancel or terminate the Promotion, the operation of the Promotion or these Terms and Conditions in its absolute discretion and without notice.

5. Due to the continuing development of Clarendon Homes’ designs and products, to the maximum extent permitted by law, Clarendon Homes reserves the right to alter its product specifications and suppliers at any time and without notice.

6. The Promotion is only available in respect of certain Clarendon Homes’ homes, being those in Clarendon Homes’ Luxe range with Luxe specification, and in certain geographic areas. The Promotion is not available:

  • in conjunction with any other range, promotion, offer or inclusions specification unless otherwise approved in writing by an authorised representative of Clarendon Homes; or
  • in conjunction with Clarendon Homes’ Domaine range of homes
  • in certain geographic areas. Please speak with your Clarendon Homes sales consultant to ensure availability of the Promotion and/or inclusions in respect of the location of your proposed home.


7. The Promotion shall be governed in accordance with the laws of Queensland. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

8. To take advantage of the Promotion, if you are a customer of Clarendon Homes, you:

  • must enter into a preliminary agreement with Clarendon Homes during the Promotion Period being for a home in Clarendon Homes’ Luxe range;
  • must pay an initial deposit to Clarendon Homes during the Promotion Period;
  • must enter into a construction contract with Clarendon Homes;
  • must, and will be taken to, accept these terms and conditions.

Options

9. There are two (2) options available in connection to the Promotion (Options). The Options are as follows:

OPTION 1

10. Price reductions are available to homes in connection to the Promotion. The value of these price reductions will depend upon whether the home is a “Single Storey” or “Double Storey” home in Clarendon Homes’ “Luxe” range. The applicable discounts are as follows:

In respect all homes:

  • From $40,000 (inclusive of GST) and up to $50,000 (inclusive of GST) off the price of Double Storey Homes.
  • From $25,000 and up to $38,000 (inclusive of GST) off the price of Single Storey Homes
  • $40,000 (inclusive of GST) off the price of Acreage Homes

subject to the following qualifications, terms and conditions:

  • The value of any price reduction under this Option 1 (Discount) will vary depending on your chosen home design
  • In respect of homes with Clarendon Homes’ Luxe range, the average price reduction for Single Storey Homes is $32,000 and the average price reduction for Double Storey Homes is $43,000.
  • Price reductions are subject to change without notice.
  • You may obtain the advertised prices for homes in Clarendon Homes’ Luxe range including all price reductions in relation to “Option 1” at a Clarendon Homes display centre

OPTION 2

11. Upgrade (Inclusions) are available to homes in connection to the Promotion. The retail value of these Inclusions will depend upon whether the home is a “Single Storey” or “Double Storey” home in Clarendon Homes’ “Luxe” range. The applicable values are as follows:

In respect homes in Clarendon Homes’ Luxe range:

  • The average retail value of upgrade Inclusions for Double Storey homes is $52,00, being inclusive of the retail value of the optional “Statement timber staircase” option as specified on page 36 in the Promotion brochure, the $5,990 (inc GST) price of which is payable in addition to the advertised Option 2 house price of your chosen Double Storey home design. A copy of the Promotion brochure is obtainable at a Clarendon Homes display centre.
  • The average retail value of upgrade Inclusions for Single Storey homes is $39,000


subject to the following qualifications, terms and conditions:

  • You must pay for the Option 2 price applicable to your chosen home design
  • You may obtain the advertised prices for Clarendon Homes’ Luxe range including prices in relation to “Option 2” at a Clarendon Homes display centre

Additional Conditions

12. In order to take advantage of the Promotion, you must choose (and you are only entitled to choose) one only of the above two Options.

13. Option 1 price reductions represent the difference in house price between Option 2 and Option 1. If you choose Option 1, you are opting for Luxe standard inclusions in lieu of all upgrades available with Option 2.

Additional Conditions for Option 2 Inclusions

14. In relation to Option 2, you will not be given a credit for the deletion of any Inclusion. Each of the Inclusions are not redeemable for cash and are not transferrable.

15. In relation to Option 2, further descriptions and full details of upgrades, including the relevant Inclusions (as applicable) are set out in further detail below.

2740mm high ceilings, doors and windows

  • 2740mm high ceilings to the lower floor of your double storey home, or for single storey homes, 2740mm high ceilings including brick infills above your windows and doors.
  • 2340mm high internal flush panel doors to the lower floor of your double storey home or to your single storey home.
  • 2340mm high external doors to the lower floor of your double storey home or to your single storey home, including external garage door and laundry door.
  • 2400mm high stacker or sliding door to your alfresco (design specific).
  • Full height glazing to your external laundry door (design specific).
  • 200–300mm increase in height to the lower floor windows in your double storey home, or to your single storey home.
  • 2350mm high garage door.


With your choice of either:

600mm x 600mm glazed porcelain tiling

  • A choice of colours from Clarendon Homes’ promotion range of 600mm x 600mm glazed porcelain tiles for the main floor areas of your home, including pressed or rectified edge options
  • Tiling layout as per Clarendon Homes’ standard floor covering layout for your chosen home design, a copy of which can be obtained from a Clarendon Homes display centre

  • A choice of 10 colours from Carpet Call’s “Wood Effects Plus” range of hybrid timber look flooring for the main floor areas of your home
  • Hybrid timber look flooring layout as per Clarendon Homes’ standard floor covering layout for your chosen home design, a copy of which can be obtained from a Clarendon Homes sales consultant


Plus:

Premium quality carpet

  • A choice of 5 colours available from Carpet Call’s “Umbria” range including 10mm underlay
  • Carpet layout as per Clarendon Homes’ standard floor covering layout for your chosen home design, a copy of which can be obtained from a Clarendon Homes sales consultant


Plus:

900mm Smeg European appliances

  • Smeg 900mm concealed rangehood; or Smeg 900mm canopy rangehood
  • Smeg 900mm gas cooktop; or Smeg 900mm electric cooktop
  • 2 x Smeg 600mm underbench ovens; or 1 x Smeg 900mm electric underbench oven; or
  • Optional Smeg 900mm freestanding gas and electric cooker

You’ve worked hard to build the home you’ve always wanted, and it’s only natural you’ll want to be confident that it will withstand the test of time. That’s why Clarendon gives you a life time structural guarantee, so you can have peace of mind and relax in your brand new home.

Clarendon’s guarantee covers major structural element defects, attributable to defective design or workmanship. This includes situations where the defect results in the building or part of the building being unsuitable for use, physical damage to the building or the building posing a threat of physical damage or collapse.

The structural elements of your home are those elements which are essential to the building’s stability and structural integrity, namely, the frame, roof trusses, slab, piers and footings.

At Clarendon, we pride ourselves on the quality and workmanship of our homes. In the unlikely event that you become aware of a major structural element defect in your home, please notify us in writing immediately. If your home is subject to a major structural element defect, it will be fixed by Clarendon at our own cost within a reasonable time after receiving your notice.

There are some conditions under which our guarantee becomes void. These include if you have carried out structural alterations or additions to the property, or if you have transferred/sold the property or if the damage has been caused by a lack of reasonable maintenance or action to minimise damage. You should take care to maintain your home over its lifetime, including, major maintenance activities such as replacing roof tiles after their useful life. This will protect the structural integrity of your home and minimise the likelihood of your guarantee becoming void.

The everyday ageing of your home is also not covered by our guarantee. This includes shrinkage and minor settlement cracks and normal wear and tear. Damage caused by an act of nature which exceeds that allowed for by the relevant Australian Standards or good building practice is also not covered.
