Each Quarterly Review, we like to recognise the efforts of outstanding staff members in each department. These rewards can be for effort dedication or a positive change to the business, always in alignment with our six core values - care, pride, quality, evolution, passion and focus.
Clarendon rewards come in all shapes and sizes. For example, some rewards have come in the shape of a Stretch Hummer Limousine! Others have come in the form of a harbour boat cruise or a Harley Davidson ride to Bondi Icebergs. Unforgettable and fun is usually the order of the day.
We also have an internal staff initiative called ‘Pitch it to Peter’ where staff are encouraged to pitch ideas to improve any aspect of our business to Peter Campbell himself. It’s an exciting initiative we recently launched which elicited a wide, varied and enthusiastic response from staff members, and we look forward to taking into its next year.
Throughout the year at Clarendon Homes, we hold a number of staff social events. They’re great for team building, socialising, getting to know each other team members better, and of course, a good way to celebrate any milestones or momentous occasions along the way.
Some of the biggest calendar events over the year are our:
• End of Financial Year Party (held in June each year)
• Christmas Party (held in December each year)
• Melbourne Cup
• Subbies Christmas Party
There are also smaller get-togethers and functions which occur regularly, so we’ll let you know about those well in advance, so you can schedule them in.
On site, we have a kitchen with a fridge and a microwave oven. These are available for you to keep your snacks and/or lunches. You’ll find the kitchen stocked with crockery, cutlery and glasses. There’s also plenty of relaxing places to sit and eat here too.
Throughout the day, please feel free to help yourself to the range of coffee, tea, biscuits, sauces, salt and pepper supplied in the kitchen.
Of course, no self-respecting business would be complete without a bar, right? So you will find our bar located in the main kitchen as well.
The Clarendon bar is stocked with beer, wine, champagne and some soft drinks for staff. The bar is stocked and open at all times, so please help yourself. (While it’s technically open at all times, there is to be no consumption during business hours).
Keep an eye out for our complimentary Friday afternoon cheese platters too.
At the Super Centre, Parklea, Clarendon has created The Playhouse for kids - a two storey purpose-built centre for kids aged from 2 to 16, who have ‘big kids’ (also known as parents) visiting our Super Centre, Parklea, checking out the homes and talking shop with our Sales Consultants. From painting and Pac Man, to soft play and chill out areas, all the fun in The Playhouse is fully supervised too, so parents or carers can safely sign in their littlies while they head off to do some home hunting.
As a Clarendon staff member, you’re welcome to ‘drop and go’ your littlies during the school holidays from 8am - 6pm.
